A Post for Patti

So, Patti wants me to post today.... well lets see. I never seem to remember to bring my camera to work. Although I haven't taken many photos lately. So, I don't have any pictures to post. My life is work, work and more work! Patti - I'm boring!!! I'm so swamped at work that I hardly have any time during the day to blog! I'm sitting here eating a soup at hand and some crackers and cheese and working.... just thought I deserved a little break! Maybe on Saturday when I see you, you can motivate me to take pictures and get scrapping!!! Please! Oh - and I'll take a hug when I see you Saturday -- it will be the 5 year anniversary of mom's death. It will never be easy, but it does get easier.
So, Patti - there is your exciting post for Thursday!! :)

It's Monday...

And believe it or not, I'm happy! I got through my list over the weekend, with the exception of taking a nap (didn't feel like I needed one) and scrapbook shopping/scrapbooking (just didn't get to it). It was a good weekend. Quiet, productive and peaceful. Nothing exciting, just very nice!
On top of it all, last night our doorbell rang and it was our friendly police officer. They got our tv! They are arresting the guy today. Some of my rings are now in evidence (I feel like I'm on a cop tv show!) and they took pictures of the tv and we had to sign for it. Very exciting. I just want two things... this guy to pay for what he did wrong and for Kaitlin to understand that being honest and doing the right thing pays off. Getting our tv and my rings back is a bonus I never thought would happen. I was uneasy last night and didn't sleep well. I kept thinking that possibly he would come back in anger, but he is such an idiot, he was probably thinking of where to hide from the police. Hopefully he doesn't and they can bring him in today. Maybe now we'll be on the upswing - we need some Good Luck!! :)

Things to Do This Weekend

1. Sleep in.

2. Take a nap.

3. Read a good book.

4. Bake cookies.

5. Snuggle my hubby.

6. Laundry.

7. Take another nap.

8. Enjoy some peace and quiet.

9. Do some bead and scrapbook shopping.

10. Bead and Scrapbook!!!

These will happen in any order, at any time over the course of the weekend.

Bad Blogger

I'm such a bad blogger! I've been thinking of a new post, and never get as far as doing it! I left my camera at home, so no photos! I'm just taking a five minute break. A mini Hersey bar, a few sips of diet coke and quick look at the blogs!! Work is crazy busy. Too much to do, not enough time. I shouldn't even be taking a break, but you know I needed it!!

Some random facts for today that you probably don't really care about:

*I have another sty in my eye (love how it rhymes, hate how it feels and looks!)

*Kaitlin's car broke down on Saturday. We had to have it towed to the shop. No idea when it will be done or how much it will cost. Therefore, Greg and I are the taxi to and from work for her. Last night she worked until 11 p.m.... whew I was tired! Tonight is Greg's turn!

*I was excited to watch our new President today. I pray he will be the change our country needs.

*I have no idea what we will have for dinner. I wish I had an extra jingle in my pocket so we could go out or order chinese!

*I am now using Allison's old cell phone. She has a cool new fancy one and I get the hand me down phone. Hopefully it works better than I one I had before!

*No news on the robbery. Apparently they didn't have enough evidence to get the a**hole that we think did it.

Five minute break is over. Back to work... Hopefully next time I'll have some good photos to post! Just nothing too exciting going on for me to take pictures right now!

The end of a rough week...

It's the end of a rough week! Our house was broken into on Thursday. What an ordeal. We felt so violated and mad. The police have a good lead and we're hopeful they get them.

So, today I'm being lazy and relaxing. I have homemade mac & cheese in the crockpot and homemade bread fresh from the oven and some ham baking. I've napped, read a little, putzed on the computer and done some laundry. Poor Allison is sick, so I've been trying to cater to her too.

We've had tons of snow in the last two days. It's beautiful again outside!

I'm praying for a good week.... I have so much to do at work and at home. I need a NON-STRESS week!!

Jewelry and New Year's Eve

So, my friend Julie and I are going to sell some jewlery pieces at a hair salon. Over Christmas break, I had more fun making jewelry and now I can't stop! Every night I want to bead! Here are a few of the pieces that I made. Ignore the number tags, they are for my tracking system.

Kim invited all to her home for dinner, games and watching the ball drop. Our party girl Quyen came for dinner all dolled up. She looked so adorable! She was off to a club for more fun than this old lady could possibly handle!! We had a wonderful time with wonderful friends. Of course, girls kicked guys butts in the games...

Back to Reality

Well, it's back to the real world! I'm back to work today after a wonderful Holiday Break!
I went to the movie (Marly & Me), made lots of cards and tons of jewelry! I cleaned my house and put Christmas away. I visited with friends and did a little shopping. It was so great to be on my own schedule! Sleeping in, staying in my pjs for hours... it was a great vacation!
