Cakes and Crafts

Greg wanted to play in the garage with his buddy last night for his birthday evening. So after dinner, gifts, cake and dishes, I got to play too! I made these summer disks for my plate rack. Too fun! So, it was a good birthday for Greg and a nice evening for me too! We both got to play!

Happy 42nd birthday to my sweetie! I love you honey! This is Easter Sunday at Greg's mom's. She made him a blueberry pie for his birthday dessert. Tonight I'll fix him a steak dinner and we'll have presents and pineapple upside down cake. I'm so lucky to have celebrated 25 birthday's with this guy!!!

Talk about Depressing...

Are you kidding me? I'm so sick of this snow. We could get 4-10 inches today. Yesterday was the first day of Spring. Walking in to work this morning a student had flipflops on.... I sure hope she doesn't get frost bite! I had to go out this morning and I couldn't believe how bad the roads were. Here's the proof that Mother Nature likes to play tricks on us...

WMU Food Marketing Conference...

IS OVER!!!! I'm so glad! I really enjoyed all the work that went in to, and I'm really glad it's over! I slept most of the day on Friday to recover and then had a fairly normal weekend. It's like planning a wedding and then it's over! But, I've been thanked with e-mails, bouquets of flowers and phone calls. It is nice to know all the hard work is appreciated! Now on to "unpacking", cleaning up the mess and catching up on the day to day work!!

Back to School...

Kaitlin started Otsego High School today. I pray this is a good move. I cannot wait to hear how her day went. She was acting cool, but was up early this morning and had curled her hair and was dressed cute... inside she must be excited and nervous. This is her fresh start. I can only encourage her and pray for her...

SOLD!

We closed on our house on Friday! It's sold! I'm so happy. So very happy. That burden is lifted and we are ready to move on. Goodbye Turwill. What a great little house for so many years. I hope the new owner enjoys the house for many years to come! SOLD!

Work is Crazy!

Here is my desk. Well, sort of. You really can't see much of my desk because it is covered in work!! Next Wednesday is the huge conference that I've been planning since I started this job. I am down to all the last minute details. Like centerpieces. Do I want bud vases or votives, or both?!! I love my job! I'm not even stressed yet. Probably next week Tuesday I will be, but this week there are no students here and I'm just getting so much done! Three hours of overtime last night, probably a couple more every day this week. I will be able to take my entire spring break off without having to use vacation time! Did I say I loved my job! And yes, that is Jon Bon Jovi on my computer screen and my cubical wall. What can I say? He makes me smile!
