Friday - Shipshewanna with Luann and Cheri from work! What a perfect day for shopping. I spent too much in the bead store, but otherwise, we had fun roaming in all the little shops and eating.... JoJo's pretzels and then on to Essenhaus (however you spell it!) for a yummy chicken dinner. Good friends and a fun day!
Saturday - up early to work at the scrapbook store. Would you believe I got 25 Christmas cards almost done!! I'm surprised at myself and very happy with my progress!! After work I drove straight to Gun Lake. Again a day with girls from work. Luann has an adorable cottage on the lake and she invited Cheri, Betsy, Cindy and I to enjoy the day. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very cooperative, but we had a good time anyway! The boat ride around the lake was great (sweatshirt on - sweatshirt off type of ride!!) Yummy snacks and drinks and lots of laughter. Such fun!
Sunday - beading and laundry. All day!!
I was invited to do a couple of other fun things this weekend, but just couldn't fit it in. Would have loved to see Loverboy and Kansas in concert with Denise and Roger and also would have loved the good-bye party for Christine (I counted 8 bottles of champaigne - wow - they had FUN!) I was wondering why everything had to fall into one weekend when I already had a weekend full of plans!! Oh well... maybe next time!
Today is back to work and reality. The count down to students has started! I'll be glad to have them back in the building - they make the job fun!
