Wednesday's Random Thoughts

I cannot wait for the election to be over. I'm sick to death of the ads on tv and radio.

My shoulder is aching so bad today and Motrin 800 isn't touching the pain.

I really want to be home crafting. I have card and scrapbook page ideas running amuk in my head. When will I really have the time to play?

Tonight is Allison's choir concert. She is not excited. Should be fun.

I missing my mom today something horrible.

My neice and nephew are both engaged (not to each other, silly)! I cannot wait for two family weddings in the next year!

I'm not a fan of Dark Chocolate M&M's. However peanut M&M's in Halloween colors are quite yummy.

People who plan things, have me print 300 flyers and then cancel iritate me. I've just killed a tree for nothing.

Work friends who go to Vegas without me, but bring me back a very pretty bracelet are very nice work friends!

I'm not in the mood to work. So I thought I'd organize and clean my office. It really needs it. Turns out I'm not in the mood for that either.

I wish I knew how to brew tea from loose tea leaves. A professor brought me green tea from China. Silly me... I opened the box thinking I'd dunk the tea bag and enjoy it. It rather looks like something illegal!

It feels so nice to be appreciated at work.

This will be the first Halloween that Allison goes with friends and not from our house. I may not even see her in her costume. That makes me really sad. How will I scrapbook a Halloween page with no photos!!! Let's hope plans change and the kids come to our house.

Ok - I'm done rambling on. I really must motivate and at least get my office cleaned and organized if I'm not working! Maybe a few more of those peanut M&M's will do the trick...
Happy Hump Day!

Fall Beauty

A fallen leaf is nothing more than a summers wave goodbye.

Forced Family Fun

Ok - I'm not a mean mom! I asked Allison if it was ok that I got a couple pumpkins at the grocery store. She said NO! She wanted to go to Gull Meadow Farms and get pumpkins and apples and donuts, just like we always do! So, off we go, with Allison's friend Madeline to the pumpkin patch! Once we got there, we saw a bit of attitude and someone wasn't wanting mom to take pictures! Anyway, after pumpkins, apples, the BEST donuts I've ever eaten and the corn maze everyone was HOT and had fun. We were a little dissappointed because they ran out of apple cider. That place was packed. It was the perfect warm fall day to get pumpkins. So, I did get a few photos, even though they are forced smiles! My front porch looks so cute. Of course I forgot to get a photo of that!

I took a day off....

of work to stay home and WORK! Yesterday I did 8 loads of laundry, dusted the whole downstairs, scrubbed the kitchen floor, stripped and washed the bedding, bought a new vacuum and swept the entire house with it - worked great! Scrubbed two of the three bathrooms and made the best pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy ever! Wow. When I got into bed to read a magazine and watch Dancing with the Stars last night, I realized that I had only sat down three times all day... lunch, in the car (to buy the vacuum) and dinner. I was beat. I worked harder at home than I do all day at WMU! But, it felt so good to get caught up. And I was home alone - loud music and singing all day. Is it sad that I love a day like that?

Go Broncos!

I'm off to WMU's Homecoming Tailgate party for the Food Marketing Department.

I have 160 hot dogs, 80 hamburgers, catsup, mustard, relish, chips, cookies, plates, napkins, garbage bags in the back of the truck... whew! Should be fun!

...my baby was born! I cannot believe Allison is now a teenager. Wow. Time really flies. Some days it truly seems like she was just starting preschool - not 8th grade! I think she had fun at school - she was the center of attention! She went to the Volleyball Game and then we went to dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise with my side of the family. The funny thing was all these soldiers were there and she wanted her photo taken with them, so Kaitlin asked them and they all trooped over for a photo! It was so funny and very memorable for her....

Happy 13th Birthday, my dear sweet Allison. I love you!!
