Masterpiece Memories will re-open tomorrow. I hope we have a good customer turn out. The store looks great. Kim is so wonderful. Everyone who works there is wonderful. What a great group of girls. I couldn't ask for a more understanding, caring group of friends. Everyone worked so hard and so well together to get that store in order for the grand opening. It was hard work and everyone... especially Kim was exhausted! I kept asking her today how she felt about the store, was she happy, was she excited. She is so tired and overwhelmed right now, I'm not sure she knows how she feels! I can't wait to hear how the first day goes. I wish I was working there tomorrow instead of at my "real" job! And Patti.... things are ok right now -- no drama today, thank God!
It's My Life. It's no where near perfect. It isn't easy. But, it's mine. And I love it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
It's a snowy 2008!! Here's hoping it's a safe and happy year!
Here's how beautiful it was this morning when I got up!

And here is a fun scrapbook page I complete while on break --
Well, you can see I'm playing with Allison's digital camera!
These are photos she took over the last week and I've put them
on the computer. Kinda fun... maybe I'll have to get one too!
Tomorrow is packing day at the scrapbook store! Allison and I are going to spend most of the day there packing up. Kim said movers could come on Thursday if we can get it done. I think we can... it's called Girl Power! I can't wait to play in the new store. It will be so fun.
Then, Thursday and Friday is back to the real world and work for me. It goes so fast! But, I'll be so busy that time should fly.
Again - Happiest Wishes for a Blessed 2008!

After Christmas Stuff
So, I've spent the last two days doing "stuff". Returning gifts, searching the stores for replacements and taking down the Christmas tree. Tomorrow is taking the rest of the Christmas decor down and sorting out my snowmen, which will find a home for January. Maybe in the kitchen. I also told Allison I'd help her figure out her new digital camera. We need to install the software and maybe I'll be able to load some photos on my blog! It is so snowy here. Once I was home and off the icy roads, I loved looking out into the trees and seeing how beautiful it was. As much as I complain, I can't imagine living anywhere else! If only I never had to drive on bad roads! I am very much in the mood to make cards. I'm hoping that Sunday will be MY day to relax and enjoy what I want to do!! I still have five days off... I'm so thankful for that! But it goes fast! I've been checking my email and phone messages from home, but luckily everything so far can wait! I was worried I would have to go to the office this week, but luckily no! My neck and shoulder are aching from all the shopping and taking the tree down. I think it's time to relax and go to bed! Good Night!

Christmas Eve
I'm waiting for Santa.... Allison just went to bed and Kaitlin is due home in 15 minutes. Knowing her, she'll be up for hours! Greg couldn't keep his eyes open. He said he'd set the alarm for 2:30 a.m. so we could get up and play Santa. Ick.... gone are the days when kids are so excited and are in bed by 8:30 so Santa could fill the stockings and still get a good night sleep!!! Ahhh, here comes the teenager now! Of course she says she isn't tired!!! 2:30 a.m. -- here we come!
Christmas blessings to all! I'm off to dream of sugarplums (and that alarm that will shock me!).

It's Vacation
Yeah! My week and three days off started today at noon! I don't have to go back until Jan. 3, 2008. I'm so happy. I spent almost four hours wrapping gifts this afternoon. They are done and beautiful and under the tree. I took a few photos and have been enjoying the evening with the tree lit and the gifts sparkling. Tomorrow morning is coffee and muffins with my girl friend, Julie. We'll exchange a gift and catch up. Then it's off to the scrapbook store to work the afternoon. I'd better go up and figure out what to work on! So many projects going on, I'll have to pick one! Sunday will be a visit to my brothers church for a musical service. It should be very enjoyable. Sunday afternoon I'm having dinner at Beth's house where we will have some wine and exchange a gift. Monday is Christmas Eve... wow it got here fast! We'll have dinner and gifts at Greg's parents house. Christmas morning will be just us - gifts and a nice breakfast. Later in the afternoon we'll head to my brother's house for more Christmas with my family! Then, all the prep work and shopping and baking.... it will be over! Why is it the older I get, the faster time goes!
Merry Christmas!!!!

I'm Stuffed!
What a wonderful lunch I just had! My boss took us out to a wonderful lunch... even a glass of wine! I'm so full that I feel like napping now! Last night I got the last few crafty things done for Christmas. Tonight I have to go to the Mall... part of me dreads that! I hate that I'm not done shopping or baking! I feel behind. But, all will be good Christmas morning! Greg found an older digital camera.... I'm thinking I'll check into the cost of a battery and see if the thing works. How cool would that be! Probably perfect for someone like me who hasn't gone digital yet. I'm so excited about the new scrapbook store project. Moving is always a huge deal, but we have such a great group that it should go very smoothly. I just hope that all the customers that took a year to find us will find us again!!! Ok - since I've done not much today at work, I'd better get to it!

Merry Christmas
Patti - I remembered! I will get on your blog later today to check it out! This weekend was great! My dad's 81st birthday party was wonderful and the weather held so he was able to drive to my house with no problems! He is such a great guy! I made white chili and red chili and there wasn't one drop left of either! Saturday was great too! Allison and I did some Christmas shopping in the morning and I even got a short nap in! The Masterpiece Memories party was very nice. What a wonderful group of friends. I'm so blessed! Sunday, I baked cookies, did laundry and wrapped gifts. Plus I napped for 2 hours! Wow! The snow was beautiful and I didn't have to drive in it! Perfect! I stayed in my PJs all day and it was fabulous! One more week of work and then a week and half off. CAN'T wait for that!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
