Ice Mosaic

The ice on the river in Chicago looked like a mosaic. So very cool. This morning is so cold and I'm betting the river is even more beautiful today!

Bon Jovi Rocks!!

Awesome, Fabulous, Wonderful, Heavenly, Fun, Exciting.... those are just a few words that pop in my head to describe the Bon Jovi concert at United Center on Saturday, February 23, 2008. They get better every time I see them. And I've seen them at least six times! I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. No snow, lots of sunshine, shopping and bar hopping, my BFF, no kids, no hubby, no stress. Just fun, fun and more fun! It was a blast and I'm so content and thankful that I am able to enjoy such a treat!

Chicago here I come....

I'm Tired of Winter.....

I got stuck this morning. In MY OWN driveway. YUCK. I've never been stuck in my LIFE. Of course Allison was fussing because she was going to be late. I blame it all on Greg :) He came home with a "new to us" truck last night. It's very nice and we really needed a 2nd vechicle. BUT, this thing is HUGE and he parked it so close to my side of the garage I could barely get out. Hence, getting stuck. It's embarassing!!! Everyone who knows me will drive by today and see my van stuck in the driveway! Geez! So, then I have to drive the new monster to work. I don't know if I've ever driven such a huge vehicle before! But, it is 4 wheel drive and I didn't have one problem getting to work. I'm tired of winter. I'm ready for a little warmth and no more snow and ice. I'm really ready for spring!

Words on the Wall

Last weekend I got motivated to work on my walls. I put some old black & whites of my side of the family on my scrapbook room wall. I just love it! I also started my stairway project. I want to get some wall words (www.wallwords.com) to put above my dad's photo and probably another frame or two. Such a fun project! I was wishing for a snow day this week to play with it, but NOOOO... we never close!!!!! Oh well... maybe Sunday afternoon I'll have time.

I did it!

I finally broke down and bought a digital camera! I was trying to take a nap this afternoon and flipped on QVC. There it was! A great little digital camera with lots of software and extras for four monthly payments under $40. I quickly showed Greg and we got on line and did some research. We decided that we'd try it! Not all of the reviews were positive, but they were things like the batteries that came with it weren't good and it didn't come with the SD card and some of them sounded like they didn't read the directions. The good reviews were very good. So, the nice thing with QVC is the 100% money back guarantee. We'll try it for a while, and if it isn't just what I hope it will be, I'll send it back. I can't wait to it to arrive. I think I need to get some good Lithium batteries and a SD card before the camera comes and then I can play all day! Yeah for me!

Cold Morning and Coffee

It's cold. It's so snowy. My coffee is hot and vanilla flavored. I have a peanut butter chocolate chip bar to go with. Now, only if I was home in my pjs instead of sitting in my office - the day would be perfect!

My Crafty Weekend

Here's what I did this weekend...

It's always nice when a plan comes together! I spent more time in my craft room in the last three days than I have in the last three months! After making cards and the baby gift, I scrapped!

I just have to figure out how to take better photos with Allison's digital camera!!!
